                                                                               What is FRA?

Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture is a natural, safe way of reducing the signs of ageing using only the body's internal energy rather than injecting it with chemicals such as Botox, or drastic surgical approaches.

FRA aims to correct the signs of ageing through local treatment of the face and by treating the underlying causes of why an individual is specifically manifesting the ageing process in the way they are.

FRA helps to improve muscle tone and dermal contraction in the face and neck and can help to increase collagen production to firm skin and fill out wrinkles. Bags and sagging around the eyes, face and neck can be significantly reduced and toned. Metabolism is improved through the treatments, resulting in reduced puffiness. In addition to the visual benefits there may be increased vitality and serenity in the whole body.

What is the course of treatment?

Generally, a course consists of 6-8 treatments of about 1 hour each, either weekly or twice weekly. The effects gradually become more noticeable and lasting after the first 3-4 treatments, although each person will respond differently.

What happens during a treatment?

In some cases extremely fine needles are used in the deeper wrinkles. This is followed by an invigorating Tui-Na massage which stimulates and tones the facial muscles. Lastly a gentle soothing massage of the face and neck is given. During the treatment, more acupuncture is given to the rest of the body which can help relieve other pre-existing conditions. The treatment therefore is for the whole body.

Why choose FRA over surgical face lifts or Botox?

Whilst not a replacement for surgery, FRA is and excellent alternative. It has no side effects, risk of disfigurement, or trauma. It is safe, virtually painless and far less costly.
