Originating in China, Acupuncture dates back over 3000 years. It has been researched in China, America and Europe and is used worldwide to treat many conditions or to maintain health and well being.

The Chinese base their treatment around the concept of "Qi" ( pronounced Chi"). This is an individuals life force or vital energy which flows throughout the body. In helath Qi flows smoothly, however if for any reason this flow is disrupted, illness can occur. Acupuncture can correct the flow of Qi and stimulate the body's own healing capability.

Acupuncture is an individual therapy. Treatments are tailored to each client's needs. It can be used as a stand alone treatment or can safely be conbined with conventional medicine.

Acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine needles into specific points on the body. They are left for approximately 20 minutes while you rest and relax.

It is used effectively in many acute painful conditions eg tennis elbow, frozen shoulder, sciatica, knee pain. Aslo helpful in menstrual problems, migraine, stress and tension. It can aid with smoking cessation and weight loss.

Clients attending th Bexhill Clinic receive holistic care. Each case is different and treatment plans are formulated according to individual neds.
